This position is within a free-standing emergency department with a staffing ratio of 1 : 4. The candidate will participate in special procedures and administer medications for rapid sequence intubation. Key responsibilities include managing vents, administering blood products, and performing cardiac monitoring and interpretation. The ideal candidate will have experience in trach care, cardioversion / defibrillation, and the administration of breathing treatments. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. The role includes the management of pediatric patients, with approximately 15% of the caseload consisting of this demographic. The candidate will be required to obtain 12 lead EKGs and provide procedural sedation monitoring. Experience in central line care and management, as well as rapid infusers, is necessary. The candidate should be prepared to participate in a high-paced, dynamic work environment.
