Recommended qualifications include a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, a passing score on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE), active Virginia licensure, and at least one year of clinical experience. Strong adaptability, communication, and decision-making skills are important, and Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certifications are commonly required.
