Job description

Job Title : Lab Assistant

Location : Washington DC.

Job type : 13 weeks contract

Shift : Nights 5x8-Hour (03 : 00 pm 11.00 pm)

Requirements :

Minimum of 2 years of experience preferably in a hospital setting. Must have experience as a lab assistant; phlebotomists will not be accepted.

Experience processing specimens for laboratory use (centrifuge aliquot storage).

Knowledge and experience with :

Purple top (EDTA) tubes

Red top (plain) tubes

Centrifuge

Vacutainer tubes

Laboratory requisitions

Specimen processing knowledge is required; experience with HLA specimen handling is highly preferred.
