The Site Controller is responsible for all day-to-day accounting operations for a growing geotechnical construction division and is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely operation of financial matters of this division. This is a hands-on role managing all aspects of the accounting cycle including accounts payable and receivable, month-end close, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and audit support. The role operates in a hybrid capacity, splitting time between the Westminster HQ and regional site locations, with approximately 50% travel to various sites to support on-the-ground accounting operations and reporting.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute all site-level accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivables, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes for the site, ensuring deadlines are met and results are accurate.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including inventory, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities.
• Prepare and submit monthly financial reporting packages and supporting schedules to corporate accounting.
• Ensure all accounting entries comply with GAAP and internal policies.
• Monitor and validate transactions impacting the general ledger (e.g., payroll, purchasing, inventory).
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to audit requests.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborate with site operations and corporate teams on financial reporting, system improvements, and process consistency.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested by the Corporate Controller.

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule with travel expectations up to 50%. The expected base pay range for this position in the Denver area is $110,000 - $135,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential bonus or benefits.
