Opal Foods is hiring a Farm Maintenance Technician / Manure Runner for our Hathaway Farm in Neosho MO . In this job you would maintain all equipment in the laying hen houses. Successful candidates must be able to work in a farm / live animal (dusty) environment. We take pride in maintaining compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations including safety bio-security and animal welfare requirements. Pay determined based on relevant experience.

Position Responsibilities :

• Keep equipment running and operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors pneumatic systems and conveyor systems.
• Perform preventive and urgent maintenance on production machinery and equipment
• Diagnose problems replace or repair parts test and make adjustments
• Take a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses and error proofing controls related to down time
• Use a variety of hand and power tools electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties
• Detect and report faulty operations defective material and any unusual situations to the proper supervisor
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Assist the Production Team with other projects and duties as needed
