As the Global Facilities Regional Engineering Mechanical Engineer, you will provide technical support, expertise, and lead business process alignment on construction project design, management, schedule, cost control, testing & commissioning, operational and maintenance programs for facility mechanical systems across manufacturing sites in your region. You will represent facility design standards, project management, and operational initiatives, supporting the Global Facilities teams in design standard alignment, quality improvement, and project support.

Key metrics include project management, schedule adherence, cost control, safety, and system reliability improvements to minimize production disruptions.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Project : Design and construct regional greenfield projects aligned with global standards, collaborating with sustainability, cost, and planning teams.
  • Engineering Support : For site projects, technology transfer, and sustainability initiatives. Review and approve capacity expansion and sustainability capex, and support facility reliability improvements.
  • Reliability : Support system improvements, oversee regional efforts, and contribute to global standards development. Support major reviews and share lessons learned.
  • Communication : Serve as the regional point of contact, ensuring alignment on metrics reporting.
  • Others : Understand site mechanical systems operational and maintenance capabilities, provide site / regional support, lead cross-functional teams, support TPM, drive utilities quality, and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

Additional responsibilities include supporting sustainability projects, benchmarking system performance, providing technical advice, and developing training programs to enhance team capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven problem-solving abilities across multi-functional and multicultural groups
  • Ability to lead teams and improve systems and processes
  • Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills
  • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of Facility Engineering experience, preferably in the Semiconductor Industry
  • Experience leading global facility engineering efforts is preferred
