Sunstates Security is currently hiring for a Part-Time Security Officer in the Port Huron, MI area. The shift hours are 11 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM. This position offers a pay rate of $21.00 / hr- paid weekly. All qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) that work 20 hours a week (minimum of 500 hours per year or more worked) and have completed six months of service with Sunstates Security.

Job Skills / Requirements

Requirements :

• Previous security, military, and / or law enforcement experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Exceptional report writing skills.
• Be able to stand and / or walk for extended periods of time.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility.
• Read and understand written instruction and communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise written form.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and have a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of security experience required.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer must read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.

Education Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
