The OR Tech III understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. The OR Tech III has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. When the OR Tech III is in the second scrub role they assist the surgeon and / or surgical assistant during the operative procedure by carrying out tasks including sponging, suctioning, cutting suture, holding retractors and manipulating the endoscopic camera. Must have : experience with cardiac surgeries including coronary artery bypass, valve replacements, davinci assisted thoracoscopy Advanced skills needed : Procedures performed on unit : cardiac, general, vascular, neuro, spine, trauma, ortho, ortho / trauma, burn, ent, transplant, robotic Certifications Required : Dress Code : (Required uniform) Surgical scrubs providedUnit Guidelines / Policies : Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.
