What You'll Do
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Assist providers with charting, histories, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans
- Navigate lab reports, imaging studies, and medical records to support the provider's workflow
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and uphold patient confidentiality at all times
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to streamline operations and enhance care delivery
Who You Are
Pre-med, pre-PA, nursing, or healthcare student (or graduate) looking for hands-on clinical exposureDetail-oriented and an excellent listener with fast, accurate typing skillsComfortable working in a high-intensity environment, sometimes multitasking during live patient interactionsFamiliar with medical terminology and EMR systems (experience with [Epic, Cerner, etc.] a plus)Requirements

Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of the organizationStrong communication skills are required; must be able to effectively communicate thoughts and actions through various forms of communication including verbal, written and oralStrong interpersonal skills and computer literacyCommitted individual who can prioritize their workload and manage conflicting demands in order to work efficientlyAbility to work with highly confidential patient informationMust be able to speak and interpret English fluently to perform documentation effectivelyMust be able to work at least two 8-hour shifts per weekAvailability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as neededAbility to type 40+ words per minute requiredAbility to hear with or without aidesHigh school graduate or equivalent required, some college preferredCurrent or previous enrollment in Pre-Medical, Medical, or Nursing school preferredMedical terminology strongly preferred
