Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.PRODUCTION CONTROL SCHEDULER (MACHINING) RESPONSIBILITIES : Provide tactical and strategic long-range scheduling expertise to our production teamsCoordinate and review input from engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and business development to support and maintain master schedules for products using Microsoft Office or applicable software as requiredWork across all departments to understand critical work requests ahead and behind targets to mitigate schedule impact risksWork across all departments to ensure MRP dates align with current vehicle productsUtilize our factory scheduler application and other applicable tools to ensure work is scheduled and prioritized accurately and efficiently and resources are allocated appropriatelyPrepare daily work schedules, track work progress, update and communicate project critical path schedules, and advise leadership of needed adjustments to daily work activitiesEnsure fixture, tooling, and test equipment requirements are properly scheduled to facilitate an efficient production processSupport accuracy of internal logistics movement of critical workPush / pull work into the shop to improve lead times, reduce stagnation, and meet schedule needsUtilize production, operations planning, and engineering support to eliminate internal and external blockers to deliver product on timeRemain abreast and knowledgeable regarding applicable facilities and manpowerLead efforts to uncover root causes and develop permanent resolutions on issues found during product builds as requiredIdentify and support improvement opportunities for product yield, quality, safety, cost and team efficiencyDevelop and support efforts to streamline assigned products and automate production processes as applicableOrganize and communicate the daily priorities to production coordinators, team leads and supervisors as requiredProvide daily visibility, weekly status, and monthly reviews on schedule performanceCreate and leverage metrics using queries and Excel to highlight shortages and determine schedule risksBASIC QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years of professional manufacturing scheduling, planning, or operations experiencePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE : Bachelor's degree2+ years of experience with MS Office2+ years of practical experience with ERP / MRP systems in a production environmentProficiency with Microsoft ExcelExperience writing queries with SQLFamiliarity with lean principles, six sigma and Kaizen conceptsProject management professional certificationADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Must be available for all shifts, extended hours, and / or weekends as neededMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassistedMust be able to stand for extended periodsCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS : Pay range : Production Control Scheduler Level I : $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 / per year Production Control Scheduler Level II : $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 / per year Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations : job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
