Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU - $2,176 per week in Phoenix, AZ

No first-time travelers will be considered. Client pre-screens are required. Candidates must pass a DYS exam prior to accepting the position. Candidates have two attempts to pass; if failed, they will cannot reapply for 6 months. This position requires a source of truth driver's license. Travel teams must have their own vehicles. Candidates are expected to have natural hair color and no facial piercings. Men must clean shave for fit testing. A pass / fail exam will occur on Day 1 of orientation with details provided in advance. All RNs will be expected to complete training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. Those who are not competent in these areas may not be a good fit. In addition to technical skills, nurses will participate in educational training for lifts, restraints, and wound care. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 : 2 in the Neuro ICU. Candidates will be assigned to float between all ICU floors and tele units. Patient load will be 4 : 1 on tele units. Common diagnoses include craniotomies, brain tumor removal, and complicated spine surgeries. The facility has 24 / 7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services. The position requires working into the core staff rotation on holidays. Cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the 13-week assignment. Cerner is the charting system used. A BSN is not required for this position.
