Wellpointe currently operates the Fresno Guest Homes, Cottages at The Colony, Irvine Cottages, and Granny's Place residential assisted living brands in Fresno, Los Angeles, and the central & south Orange County areas of California.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records and reports. This role is responsible for overseeing complex accounting tasks, supporting the month-end close process, preparing financial statements, and mentoring junior accounting staff. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, thrives in a fast-paced and growing environment, and demonstrates both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and general ledger reconciliations across multiple entities
• Analyze financial data and generate internal reports to support business decision-making
• Maintain and manage the fixed asset ledger, including capital project tracking, depreciation, and disposals
• Support preparation of consolidated financial statements and related financial disclosures
• Coordinate and support external audit requests and other financial reviews
• Partner with operational teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and intercompany accounting
• Identify areas for process improvement and assist in developing enhanced financial workflows and controls
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Train and support Staff Accountants and other team members as needed
• Participate in ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects
