Job Overview :
The Accounting Compliance Manager will lead the payroll accounting compliance function, ensuring adherence to all applicable state and federal regulations and reporting requirements. This role will manage a team of compliance specialists and oversee processes that support accurate payroll accounting and tax compliance across the organization.
Highlights of your role :
Lead and develop a team responsible for payroll accounting compliance activities, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management.
Partner with compensation, benefits, and accounting teams to ensure compliance with new or expanded programs.
Oversee resolution of complex payroll and accounting compliance issues.
Direct the implementation and monitoring of payroll tax payment processes and quarterly / annual payroll tax filings.
Manage monthly and annual payroll-related general ledger entries, including tax postings and reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate support during annual external and internal audits.
Develop, analyze, and communicate reporting to senior leadership, including compliance metrics and risk assessments.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within payroll compliance processes.
Oversee and execute various projects and process enhancements as needed.

Strong knowledge of employment tax rules in a complex payroll accounting environment.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
Advanced analytical and Excel reporting skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Also want to make sure you have :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
7+ years of relevant experience in payroll compliance and accounting processes, including multi-state operations.
2+ years of leadership experience managing direct reports.
Experience with HRMS systems, including application change management and vendor partnerships.
