Position : Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse

Location : Springfield, Missouri 65804 (Missouri nursing jobs)

Employment Type : Travel healthcare assignment

Setting : Acute Rehabilitation Unit

Shift : Night shifts, 12 hours each

Hours per Week : 36

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks

Start Date : December 1, 2025

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1740 - $1860

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Missouri or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of Med / Surg nursing experience

Experience in acute care or rehabilitation nursing preferred

Ability to work 12-hour night shifts

Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Commitment to patient safety and quality healthcare

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission

Develop and implement individualized care plans with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record

Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning

Provide direction, training, and supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff

Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, following all healthcare safety policies

Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity of care

Contribute to positive team building and a supportive healthcare work environment

Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation

Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
