Quality Operations Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Operations Manager to develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role involves leading the development of operational processes for electronic product manufacturing, delivering training on quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement methodologies.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 13485 and FDA.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with industry regulations, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Serve as a point of contact for external audits and inspections.
- Lead the development and optimization of operations and service processes for electronic product production.
- Deliver training on quality standards, procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies to employees at all levels.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with product development and engineering to ensure manufacturability and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles are followed.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of process and quality engineers, providing guidance and training.
- Assign tasks, ensure deadlines are met, and foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching to ensure team effectiveness.
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient operations processes.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for operations issues, focusing on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, service, and maintenance to address technical challenges on the shop floor.
- Work with suppliers to assure the quality of incoming materials and components.
- Manage customer complaints and non-conformance reports, working to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with engineering to improve product designs and address quality concerns.
- Maintain certifications and ensure all processes and practices are up to date with industry standards.
- Ensure all processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, continuously improving processes and yield.
- Implement and maintain process control systems to monitor quality and efficiency.
- Work closely with technical service to employ best practices and effective fault coding for client interactions.
- Monitor short and long-term post-market product and service performance.
- Ensure post-market metrics and feedback are shared and used widely.
- Work with the operations team to develop cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for new equipment, processes, and technology.
- Work closely with several internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Essential Skills :
Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills in creating a team-oriented culture.Strong command of MS Office products, especially Excel.Experience with large QMS.Ability to delegate responsibility and coordinate a variety of activities.Strong knowledge of product costing.Knowledge of quality, manufacturing, procurement, shipping, and technical service processes.Ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors / suppliers.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.Minimum of 10 years' experience in manufacturing or related operations.At least 7 years of experience with progressive responsibility in Operations.At least 5 years' experience in a quality management environment.Successful implementation of business improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing programs.Strong knowledge of an ERP system, with at least 3 years of experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Master's degree or relevant certifications (CQE, CQM, Six Sigma Black Belt).In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.Continuous Improvement certification.Preferred experience with SAP.Work Environment :
This role is 100% onsite for the first 6-8 months, with potential remote flexibility thereafter. The work environment is an office setting, with standard hours from 8 AM to 5 PM.Job Type & Location :
