Description

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Full Time (Day Shift Tuesday - Saturday) Building Maintenance Tech for our Facilities Management team in Nashville Tennessee.

The Building Operations Mechanic / Building Maintenance Tech participates in the duties of maintaining a variety of plumbing heating air conditioning mechanical and electrical systems for on-site buildings. Maintains troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures) internal requirements manufacturers specifications and safety policies.

Building Operations Mechanic / Maintenance Tech Roles & Responsibilities :

Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical electrical HVAC and other physical structures.
Recommends purchase of maintenance tools equipment and supplies as required.
Develops maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.
Assists supervisors in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

At Least 2-3 years experience required 5-8 years of related work experience preferred (working in healthcare is a plus)

High school diploma / GED required

Trade school or other work experience.

Being a Building Operations Mechanic works under moderate supervision has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
