Dispatch Customer Service Representative
Care Transit is a leading provider of student transportation. We are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and are seeking a talented Dispatch Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team.
As a Dispatch Customer Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dispatch department. This role involves overseeing daily student transportation, ensuring driver readiness, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and school / parents. This position requires the ability to manage a high volume of incoming calls, while communicating schedule changes and route adjustments to internal team and drivers. Dispatch CSR must be proficient utilizing Microsoft office programs and routing software tools. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in record-keeping, and the ability to work under pressure in diverse environments.
Details
- Full-Time, Monday through Friday with a split shift to include 6 am to 10 am and 1 pm to 5 pm.
- 18.00 to $22.00 DOE
Job Duties include :
Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, reliability, and exceptional serviceAbility to answer a high volume of incoming calls promptly and professionallyAssist dispatch manager with coordinating drivers to assigned jobs, optimizing routes and minimizing travel timeHandle all customer inquiries and requests in a professional and timely mannerMaintain accurate records and documentation of all customer interactionsAssist with administrative tasks as needed, such as data entry and report generationProvide exceptional customer service over the phone and in personProvide routing assistance to our driversCollect and enter data into appropriate programs and running reports as neededRelay communications between dispatch and managementComplete required annual trainingsProvide transportation back-up when needed and other duties as assignedQualifications
Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to master and use transit related software programsProficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Google DocsAbility to type 35 WPMProven ability to work effectively under competing priorities with little or no supervisionMust demonstrate ability to remain courteous and professional while managing a high volume of callsPossess strong prioritization, time management and organizational skillsPrior dispatching or call center experience requiredBilingual in Spanish a plusRequires :
Minimum age of 21Valid AZ Driver’s License and clean motor vehicle record for the last 5 yearsIVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or the ability to obtainPass background check and drug screening
