Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols. Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies. Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols. Assist with crowd control and / or access control as needed to support the orderly flow of people and vehicles within the transportation environment. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred. Current CPR certification is preferred. Ability to work at sites with limited on-site facilities, such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks, is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Officer - Transportation Patrol - Full Time
As a Security Officer - Transportation Patrol - Full Time in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout transportation locations. Your visible presence will contribute to a secure environment, while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
