Overview

Metropolis seeks a People Operations Coordinator to manage employee data, support onboarding and orientation, respond to HR inquiries, and assist with reporting.

Who you are

You are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to support a fast-growing People Operations team in a corporate setting.

What you'll do

  • Manage and respond to inquiries from employees and managers across multiple HR and payroll inboxes
  • Accurately enter and maintain employee information in HRIS systems, including AS400 and Dayforce, for transfers, promotions, salary changes, and terminations
  • Facilitate the new hire process from ICIMS to the AS400, ensuring timely and accurate onboarding data
  • Review and verify employee change documents to ensure completeness and proper authorization
  • Sort incoming mail and process payroll-related documents, including garnishments and requests, for upload to ADP
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives across various People Operations functions
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly HR and payroll reports
  • Take ownership of special projects as assigned, gaining exposure to various People Operations initiatives
  • Assist in the organization and setup of New Metropolite Orientation (NMO), including coordinating IT setup

What we're looking for

  • 1+ years of professional experience within a corporate setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; familiarity with Google Workspace
  • Basic understanding of HR / People data management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn HRIS systems (AS400, Dayforce, ICIMS) and reporting tools

The anticipated base pay is $24.00–$29.00 USD hourly. Base pay is determined by factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. Total compensation may include benefits and stock options.
