A health system in Suffolk County is seeking a licensed Child / Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their team.

Schedule : Monday-Friday
Hours : Full-time
Setting : Inpatient and PHP
Responsibilities :
Perform thorough diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents presenting with a wide range of mental health issues.
Develop, implement, and continuously monitor individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for disorders.
Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychotropic medications.
Provide urgent or same day behavioral health intervention, including managing patients in an acute crisis or emergency situations, and determining the appropriate level of care.
Lead and collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team, which includes, psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors, nurses, occupational therapists, and school liaisons.
Overseeing intensive day treatment that serve as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down from it.
Serve as teaching faculty, supervising and mentoring Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows, General Psychiatry Residents, and Medical Students in clinical and didactic settings.
Qualifications :
Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
Board Certified / Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
