Our client, who designs and constructs livestock, hog, and post-frame buildings, is hiring an Construction Site Supervisor.
The Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all construction processes, providing leadership, direction, and management of Agricultural construction sites. To be successful in this position, strong leadership, strategic planning, communication skills and work ethic are a must. This position supports Iowa and its surrounding states.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Act as a representative of the company while on job site
- Manage and implement all aspects of the construction process
- Prepare schedules, assign work to all personnel at the site and communicate with the Construction Manager as necessary to reduce any risk associated with the job
- Monitor costs and budgets
- Determine site material needs; track inventory of materials and equipment
- Read drawings, plans, and blueprints
- Meet project completion objectives
- Conduct quality and safety inspections; promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately enforcing the company’s site safety policies
- Manage and direct the work of onsite sub-contractors
- Plan, direct, or coordinate concrete, construction, installation, and electrical crews
- Provide exceptional customer service and form strong customer relationships
- Handle incoming calls and make same day follow up calls
- Complete daily logs, site reports, and weekly reports
- Work with owners, estimators, and salesman
- Manage maintenance of all company owned equipment on site
- Respond to customer issues, identify possible resolutions, and root cause analysis
- Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
DESIRED PROFILE :
Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelinesAssociates or Bachelor’s degree; Preferably in Ag Construction Management or construction related field3-5 years previous experience in building & construction industryKnowledge of operating construction equipment; unloading of equipmentProficiency with computer operation, including use of AutoCAD, Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Office productsPrior experience in managing projects to a successful completionStrong problem solving and critical thinking abilityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOutgoing, hardworking, self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal skillsWillingness and ability to be on site during the weekMust possess a valid driver’s license, post-offer background check and drug screenCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS :
