ICU Nursing Job Details

Location : Bowling Green, Kentucky 42104

Unit : ICU / CCU (16 beds)

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date : January 12, 2026

End Date : April 13, 2026

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470–$1570

Patient Ratios : 2 : 1, occasionally 3 : 1

On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Kentucky or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (PALS preferred)

Experience with Meditech electronic documentation preferred

Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and ability to work independently

Ability to float in rotation with core healthcare staff as needed

Must follow dress code : scrubs (any color), no denim, capris, or camo

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a 16-bed ICU / CCU

Monitor and manage patients using advanced ICU equipment : Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring

Assist with procedures including central line and dialysis catheter insertions

Accurately document patient care using Meditech system

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including unit secretaries and techs

Participate in flexible, team-oriented scheduling and float to other units as needed
