We are searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Atlas Point at Prestonwood, a 55+ active adult community committed to exceptional living experiences, with thoughtfully designed amenities, quality services, and a welcoming atmosphere.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property in a safe, efficient, and quality manner. This position will assist in all phases of maintenance operations.
The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Property Manager and takes direction from the Maintenance Supervisor as assigned. This position will maintain working relationships with all other staff members, vendors, contractors, construction personnel; will maintain positive relationships with all current and prospective residents.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by the Maintenance Technician :
- Completes maintenance work orders as assigned
- Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties
- Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation
- Notifies Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concern
- Handles emergency situations that may arise, and communicates all details of the incident to the
Property Manager
Participates in on-call schedule and responds to after-hours incidentsPerforms all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipmentInteracts in a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employeesActively participates and follows the safety and health programsMaintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materialsOther duties as assigned by the managerQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum High School Education or equivalentMinimum three (3) years full time maintenance experience including painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc.Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and heating systemsValid driver’s licenseExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to solve problems involving residents, emergency situations, etc.Basic computer skills for completing online work ordersWorks well in a team environment and demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional levelMust have HVAC and pool certificationsSCOPE + COMPENSATION
