Locum Physician (MD / DO) - Emergency Medicine in Michigan City, IN

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Indiana starting Dec 3, 2025. This opportunity offers 12-hour shifts with physician coverage from 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am, and full specialty backup. Qualified candidates must have board certification in Emergency Medicine or be BC in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with at least five years of emergency medicine experience in high-volume settings. Applicants must hold an active Indiana license, as well as IN DEA and CSR certifications. Job Details Location : Indiana Start Date : Dec 3, 2025 LOA : 60 days Provider Type Needed : Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule : Physician shifts 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am Responsibilities and Duties Provide emergency care for patients in a ED and fast track setting Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team with full specialty backup available Respond to acute medical emergencies and perform necessary procedures Ensure high-quality, timely patient care throughout all shifts Maintain accurate and thorough medical documentation Additional Information Must hold active Indiana medical license, IN DEA, and CSR Board certification in Emergency Medicine required (ABEM preferred) Will consider BC Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with five years of emergency medicine experience at sites with annual volumes over 30,000 Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required Minimum two years of experience for board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
