General Description :

• Under the general supervision of the Director Women's Services, is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating comprehensive, individualized lactation support services according to standards identified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. Provides consultation to the in-patient clinical staff for coordination and management of lactation. Serves as the clinical expert for development of staff and patient education programs, including orientation for Nursery, OB / GYN / L&D and Pediatrics.
