Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential

Minimum 1 year of recent hospital experience as an RRT

Current Pennsylvania state licensure or eligibility as a Respiratory Therapist

BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting

Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and other respiratory treatments

Monitor patient responses and modify care plans as necessary
