Description
1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. General floor therapy such as nebulizer therapy, EzPAP, IPV, CPAP, BiPAP, Acapella, CPT, Vest therapy, ABG's, assortment of oxygen delivery devices, etc.
2. Equipment utilized in the unit / dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EPIC system computerized charting; Omnicell system for medications; pyxis for medical supplies system; Vision and V60 Bipap machines; Focus and Synchrony CPAP / BiPAP machines; High flow systems
3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Strong clinical floor skills required, ICU experience recommended. Minimum of 2 years' experience on floors or 1 year or more of ICU experience
4. Specific licensures and certifications / registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc); BLS required, ACLS required
6. Floating to other units / departments. (If so, to which units / departments?) Will be assigned to different floors based on need
7. Bed size / number of rooms for this unit / dept. Varies depending on assignment
9. Dress Code : Wine color scrubs - logo wear for tops / jackets must be worn
10. Tell us about the unit / department specific training and orientation program. First week of training involves hospital orientation and department orientation (typically 8 hour days 0800-1600); employee will be set up with the same preceptor to complete orientation for three-12 hour shifts the 1st week; 2nd week will be assigned to a resource / same preceptor as needed; after 2-3 week orientation, the employee will transition to 8 hour evening shifts.
