Location : Northern Maine (community-based practice)
Job Type : Full-time Monday Friday (occasional weekends as needed)
About the Role
We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a mission-driven primary care team in Northern Maine. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a supportive rural health setting while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of small-town living.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver primary and preventive care across the lifespan
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
Provide health education, counseling, and wellness promotion
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care team members for integrated care
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records
Refer patients to specialists and coordinate community health resources as needed
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program (MSN preferred for NPs)
Active State of Maine NP or PA license (or ability to obtain)
National certification (AANP, NCCPA, or equivalent)
Current CPR and ACLS required
Clean criminal / DHHS background check
Valid driver s license and ability to travel between clinics
