Estimated Weekly Salary Weekly Salary Range : $1360 - $1460 per week (estimated) PCU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Webster, TX 77598 (Greater Houston area) Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit (CV IMU), Heart Hospital Unit Size : 24 beds Assignment Type : Travel nursing job Start Date : December 8, 2025 End Date : March 9, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (7P-7A), rotating weekends Hours per Week : 36 Dress Code : Royal blue scrubs PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent IMCU, PCU, or step-down nursing experience Proficient in cardiac monitoring and interventions Experience with chest tubes, BiPAP, tracheostomy care Skilled in managing and titrating critical drips (Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Lasix, Bumex, Insulin) Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills Preferred : Cardiovascular nursing experience EMR experience : Meditech PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the PCU / CV IMU Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to changes, and perform clinical interventions Manage and titrate cardiac drips and infusions for acute and post-cardiac procedure patients Provide care for patients post-cardiac procedures (TAVR, Watchman, heart catheterization, PCI, CABG, pacemakers, ablations) Assist with procedures such as cardioversion and emergency interventions Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Float to MedSurg or IMCU units as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech EMR Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
