Travel : Respiratory Therapist – Nights

Location : Atlantic City, NJ

Start Date : ASAP

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Nights, 3x12s, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM

Position Overview :

The Respiratory Therapist provides high-quality patient care through intensive respiratory care and safe patient transport, within the scope of professional licensure. Works with minimal supervision to evaluate patients, recommend treatment plans, and provide education.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :

Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and operate ventilatory equipment (invasive & non-invasive)

Perform suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal) and chest physiotherapy

Conduct oximetry, capnography, and pulmonary function studies (NIF, VC, etc.)

Perform 12-lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition

Assist with procedures (bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, chest tube placement, etc.)

Provide tracheostomy care, insertion, and removal

Draw arterial blood gases, monitor, and report results

Operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilators

Assist with emergency airway management and CPR (BLS / ACLS guidelines)

Maintain accurate charting, handoff communication, and therapy charges

Required Qualifications :

Valid Respiratory Therapist licensure (state-specific)

ARRT, BLS & ACLS (AHA)

Minimum 1 year of recent RT experience in acute care

Proficiency with ventilator management, ABGs, and advanced respiratory procedures

Preferred Experience :

Prior travel experience

Experience supporting procedures such as bronchoscopies and chest tube management
