Schedule : PRN. Weekday coverage Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m. with weekend requirement.

Location : Elk Grove Village, IL

Salary : $50.00 per hour

Must have at least 1 year of work experience as SLP

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.

Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.

Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.

Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.

Plan and / or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.

Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration :

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Require Current Illinois license as Speech-language Pathologist or Temporary license as Speech-Language Pathologist if in Clinical Fellowship Year required. Recommend Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Education :

• High school diploma / GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Additional Preferences

A minimum of 1 year SLP experience in Inpatient setting or related.

Stroke and swallowing experience.
