Assistant Project Manager - Miami
About the Role :
Our client, a well-established electrical contractor in Miami, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. This role is ideal for someone who’s worked their way up in the field or currently holds a junior PM / coordinator position and wants to grow into full project management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and execution of electrical projects.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and material procurement.
- Help manage project budgets, labor tracking, and cost control.
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and GC partners.
- Attend site meetings and support daily project reporting and documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and to contract specifications.
- Help enforce quality and safety standards on all job sites.
- Provide general administrative and project coordination support across multiple projects.
Required Experience :
2–5 years’ experience with an electrical contractor (field or office).Strong understanding of electrical systems and terminology.Experience supporting commercial, industrial, or data center projects (preferred).Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and project documents.Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or similar software a plus.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.What They’re Looking For :
