Staff Accountant

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to assist with the financial operations of our dealership. This role supports the accounting department by managing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and performing reconciliations, while also contributing to inventory oversight and financial analysis. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within the dynamic marine industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable / Receivable :

Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.

Maintain accurate records of boat and parts inventories, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability tracking.

Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations, including accruals and depreciation entries.

Prepare periodic comparisons of sales, expenses, and profits by department.

Assist in ensuring compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations, including sales and use tax laws.

Process online sales transactions and ensure seamless integration between Shopify and QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting.

Maintain organized financial records and files.
