Job Description
We have a full-time opportunity for a BC / BE Intensivist to join our well-established Critical Care practice at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
- This position is a daytime flexible block schedule.
- Manage Critical Care patients in a busy ICU.
- Create, direct, coordinate, and supervise the patient care plans daily
- Conduct / order diagnostic tests, and analyze results and prescribe indicated treatments and therapies
- Refer patients to medical specialists, social services or other professionals as appropriate
- Work as part of an integrated team with care management, nursing, pharmacy, etc.
- Assist in patient education and goal setting
- Participate and adhere to all quality metrics and goals as established and directed by Adfinitas or the client / hospital
- Partner with and oversee Advanced Practice Providers
- Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed
- Lead Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) codes and Rapid Response Team evaluations
- Attend committee, CQI and management meetings, as appropriate
- Manage ventilators
- Complete central lines
- Perform intubations
- Comply with policies and procedures regarding department operations
- Establish and maintain records, reports and statistical data
