Overview
This position is responsible for generating Surety and Bond revenue by developing new client relationships and maintaining existing account relationships. Reviews and analyzes key financial metrics and related underwriting requirements to recommend appropriate surety and bond solutions. Meets business goals and profitability objectives through direct sales and referral marketing techniques. Maintains a strong referral network to solicit new prospects.
This is a remote role that may be hired in the following locations : North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia or Georgia.
Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing - Promotes surety and bond solutions to current and prospective clients through sales negotiations and referrals. Completes applications for marketing and support staff, including supporting documentation, to facilitate sales pipeline. Achieves personal and business revenue goals by participating in sales forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
Account Support - Provides service to existing clients. Answers inquires, determines client needs, and conducts ongoing analysis to verify coverage solutions. Reviews and ensures timely collection of accounts receivable balances.
Relationship Development - Builds relationships with bankers, clients, and third parties to promote surety and bond solutions and generate referrals.
Product Specialist - Maintains surety and bond knowledge to meet client needs. Recommends appropriate carrier and products to place coverage.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of Surety experience OR High School Diploma / GED and 8 years of Surety experience.
Property & Casualty License Required
Preferred Qualifications :
Construction Surety experience is preferred.
Strong COI relationships with industry specialists such as CPA’s, Attorneys, etc.
Preferred location NC, SC, VA or GA.
Ability to present Surety niche solutions to internal banking partners and external COI’s.
Managing and reporting on sales pipeline activities.
Member of local state or national Surety Associations.
Ability to travel as needed.
