Automation Control Engineer | Electronics

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Automation Control Engineer to join our growing team, a leader in advanced electronics manufacturing. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize automation and control systems that support our high-precision electronic assembly processes. Client Details The client is a high-precision supplier using precious and specialty metal alloys to fabricate intricate components-from tiny electrical contacts to subassemblies-serving mission-critical industries with vertically integrated services spanning materials development, engineering, prototyping, and production. Description Key Responsibilities : Design and develop automated control systems for manufacturing processes, including PLC, HMI, motion control, and robotics. Program and debug PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and develop SCADA / HMI interfaces for production systems. Specify and integrate sensors, actuators, vision systems, and other control hardware to support automated solutions. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure seamless system integration and operation. Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of automation-related issues. Support the installation, commissioning, and validation of new production equipment and upgrades. Document control strategies, wiring diagrams, and SOPs in accordance with industry and regulatory standards. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, reduce downtime, and increase productivity. Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge. Profile Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing or electronics environment. Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI design, and control system architecture. Experience with automation equipment including robots, conveyors, pick-and-place systems, or SMT assembly lines. Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet / IP, Modbus, Profibus, and OPC. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
