i n accordance with the negotiated agreement between the Phillipsburg Board of Education and the Phillipsburg Paraprofessional Association.

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Preschool Aide (Assistant Teacher) supports the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for all children. The aide assists in implementing daily routines and instructional activities that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of preschool students.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS :

High school diploma or equivalent

Demonstrated competence in classroom support and instructional skills

Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education

Commitment to a student-centered approach to learning

Successful completion of a criminal history background check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Prior experience working with young children

Understanding of child growth and development

Familiarity with positive behavior management strategies
