Scope

• Responsible for the administration of general care of the residents and patients.
• Provide regular work direction and monitors the work of Nursing Assistants and Care Attendants on assigned shift.
• Works closely with the patient / resident and with various members of other departments such as activities, meal services, social services, chaplain, housekeeping, and other members of the nursing department.
• The LPN may have contact with the family of the resident / patient.
• Must have flexibility in schedule to fulfill an on-call rotation if required and be available for on-call medical questions and / or emergencies via phone or in person as needed.
