Job description

Our client, a global investment and advisory financial services firm in NYC, is looking for a Client Services Specialist with a strong background in financial services. This role focuses on supporting and strengthening relationships with institutional clients including Public Funds, Endowments & Foundations, and Corporate Pensions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and highly responsive, with a deep understanding of the needs and complexities of institutional asset owners. Reporting to a Senior Client Service Lead, this position plays a key role in managing day-to-day client service needs, responding to complex inquiries, and ensuring seamless communication between clients and internal teams. The Client Services Specialist acts as a central point of coordination across investment, operations, legal, compliance, and reporting teams to deliver high-quality service and ensure client satisfaction.

This role requires 5-days / week onsite in Midtown Manhattan.

Salary : $115-140k Responsibilities :

Serve as a point of contact for institutional clients and their authorized representatives, in collaboration with a Senior Client Service Lead

Respond to a wide range of client requests and complex inquiries, including performance reporting, compliance questions, and operational matters

Coordinate internally with investment teams, operations, legal, compliance, and reporting teams to resolve client issues and deliver timely responses

Support new client onboarding and transitions, ensuring a seamless and accurate handoff

Maintain a deep understanding of client account structures, investment guidelines, and service-level requirements

Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and improve internal processes

Prepare materials for client meetings and reviews; participate in calls and meetings as needed

Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of client interactions, requests, and resolutions

Monitor and support compliance with client-specific guidelines and regulatory requirements

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial markets, industry regulations, and institutional investment products Qualifications :

Minimum 4+ years of experience in Client Services within financial services, preferably supporting institutional clients

Demonstrated experience working with Public Funds, Endowments & Foundations, and / or Corporate Pensions

Strong understanding of investment products, client account structures, and institutional reporting standards

Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written-with the ability to convey complex information clearly

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM systems and reporting tools preferred

Prior knowledge or experience of fixed income asset management a huge plus.
