Position Details : We are seeking board-certified Neurologists for a locum tenens opportunity in Southern California, near Corona. This fully remote tele-neurology role is ideal for physicians licensed in California who are comfortable providing care for non-emergent neurological cases through a virtual platform. Coverage is needed from December 2, 2024, through January 6, 2025 , with Monday to Friday availability preferred. Temporary privileges can be granted quickly upon application completion.

Job Responsibilities :

Conduct remote neurological evaluations for admitted, non-emergent patients with secure, compliant, bi-directional video technology.

Coordinate with local facility staff (radiologists, hospitalists, pharmacists, nurses, and therapists) to support comprehensive patient care and avoid unnecessary transfers.

Manage a caseload of 6-8 patients per shift.

Review and interpret diagnostic exams as needed (unofficial radiologic interpretations).

Conduct specialized neurological procedures including :

EEG (Electroencephalogram) assessments

Lumbar punctures

Diagnostic / therapeutic taps

Botox administration for neurological conditions

Brain death examinations

Peripheral nerve and epidural blocks, as well as other specialized neuro-diagnostic services

Requirements :

Licensure : Active California medical license

Board Certification : Board-certified in Neurology

Experience : Comfortable with tele-neurology and interpreting neurological exams in a remote setting

EMR System : Epic experience preferred (training provided as needed)

Additional Certifications : None required beyond board certification
