Nursing Surgical Charge Entry Specialist

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION :   Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.  BSN preferred.

CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : R.N. with current New Mexico State license.

SKILLS :

• Specific knowledge of surgical procedures
• Extensive communication skills

EXPERIENCE : Minimum Qualifications : Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years experience, one year of which is OR experience.  Three (3) years of relevant experience in system applications with a minimum of one (1) year project implementation team lead role required.

Desired Qualifications : Registered Nurse with a minimum of eight years experience.  BSN preferred.  Strong computer skills required.  Five (5) years of progressive responsibility in large complex information systems environments with a wide variety of Healthcare Management Information Systems applications recommended.  Extensive clinical practice preferred.

NATURE OF SUPERVISION :

Responsible to : Director, Surgical Services

ENVIRONMENT :

General office and hospital setting with exposure to computer room and patient care evironment.
