License : Must have an active nursing license. Certifications : BLS and ACLS required, must be certified through the American Heart Association. Must-Have : Telemetry experience with Basic Arrhythmia required. Must be willing to float to different critical care units and adult populations. Description : This position involves evening and night shifts, working 8 to 12 hours. Shifts will be scheduled every other weekend and some holidays. Experience with multiple ICU units is required, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, and Trauma Surgery. Experience with adult populations in ICU settings is mandatory. Candidates must have Epic experience within the last 12 months. Travelers will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting. The facility is a Magnet-certified, Level 1 Trauma Center. In this role, the Registered Nurse will provide care in various critical care settings. The position requires engagement in Shared Governance. Travelers will have rotations between multiple units based on current staffing needs. Travelers may float to different departments if the primary unit no longer has a need. Weekend rotations and some holidays are required. This role supports the autonomy and flexibility of working in a critical care environment. Competency in telemetry is necessary, with specific criteria for passing exams. Candidates must successfully identify lethal rhythms and pass a creditable assessment. Temporary housing and travel arrangements must be made independently. Preferred qualifications include previous charge experience and familiarity with cardiac patients. Strong skills in critical care procedures and equipment management are essential.
