Quality Assurance Specialist

Quality Assurance Specialist Goya Foods, Inc., a leader in the food industry, is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our quality assurance team based in Jersey City, NJ. Summary : The successful candidate will assist in developing and maintaining various programs, databases and reports aimed at optimizing food safety and food quality while actively supporting supplier approval and monitoring of GOYA branded products. Other duties include interacting with GOYA’s manufacturing and storage and distribution facilities. Participating with the implementation of the quality management system, BRCGS. Conducting product evaluations, reviewing product specifications, organizing and prioritizing corrective action and preventive action reports. The quality assurance specialist must have very good follow-up and follow through skills, along with very good people skills. The preferred candidate will possess five years’ experience within the food quality assurance industry, knowledge of codes of federal regulations 101 through 123. Experience with HACCP, Food Safety Plans and Foreign Supplier Verification Programs along with the requisite certifications is a plus as is being bilingual, English / Spanish.
