Job Overview :

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering quality patient care under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will include a variety of clinical duties aimed at ensuring an efficient patient experience.

• Room and prepare patients for examination, including taking vitals and compiling health histories.
• Document patient information in electronic medical records and assist with creating patient education materials.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as administering injections and assisting in minor procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the exam rooms and clinical equipment compliance with OSHA and DHEC standards.
• Manage patient flow, including assisting with appointment scheduling and referrals based on medical urgency.
• Observe and report on patients' conditions, responding to inquiries and triaging phone calls as necessary.
• Administer prescribed treatments and educate patients on their care plans.

Qualifications :

Education & Training : High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred with at least one year of patient care experience.

Licensure & Certification : Certification from a recognized body such as AMT, AAMA, NHA, NCCT, or NAHP is essential. Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross is also required.

Physical Requirements : This role requires the ability to perform tasks while standing, walking or sitting, as well as lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various conditions, including confined spaces.
