Senior Accountant – Remote (Metro Detroit Only)

Location : Remote (Must reside in Metro Detroit area)

Salary : $85,000–$95,000

Industry : Technology-Enabled Financial Services

Overview :

We’re partnering with a growing, tech-enabled financial services company seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant. This is a remote opportunity, but applicants must live in the Metro Detroit area for occasional in-person meetings and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage full month-end close : journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting

Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain robust internal controls

Prepare audit schedules and assist with external audit coordination

Support FP&A with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Oversee revenue recognition, accruals, and deferred revenue tracking

Assist with system implementations, process improvements, and automation projects

Collaborate across teams to support finance-related initiatives

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3–6 years of accounting experience (public + industry mix ideal)

Familiarity with modern accounting systems (NetSuite, Intacct, QBO, etc.)

Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles

Comfortable in fast-paced, remote environments

CPA or CPA-eligible preferred but not required
