Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary

Chief Financial Officer – executive leadership role for HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge, a 157‑bed facility. The CFO directs all financial activities, including budgeting, reporting, and strategic planning, reporting directly to the Hospital CEO and collaborating with division CFOs, COOs, and CNOs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and actions to reduce operating costs and increase revenues using market trends and financial reports.
• Direct the preparation of internal financial reports that accurately reflect the hospital’s financial position.
• Ensure timely submission of all required financial and regulatory reports, including payroll tax, public disclosure, and third‑party payer cost reports.
• Identify undesirable trends, highlight business opportunities, and recommend actions.
• Assist the CEO in developing long‑ and short‑term operational plans, service demand analyses, and productivity studies.
• Create long‑ and short‑term operational and capital budgets aligned with the hospital’s strategic plans.
• Oversee the preparation of hospital statistical reports, budgets, and financial statements.
• Administer accounting, patient business services, reimbursement, and statistical reporting functions per established policies.
• Provide informal direction in data processing, distributed systems, material management, and medical record functions.
• Forecast the impact of business decisions on financial results.
• Monitor financial and economic information to identify trends and indicators that could affect operations, planning, and investments.
• Communicate financial performance to senior administration, facility staff, and the Division Office.
• Review denials, net reimbursement issues, and maintain charge‑master accuracy.
• Review contracts, purchase agreements, and other financial arrangements for compatibility with business goals.
