ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our innovative Special Education team. As an SLP, you will provide individualized speech therapy services to help students achieve their communication goals. Your role will involve direct instruction, evaluation, consulting with educators and families, and attending IEP meetings to monitor student progress.
Responsibilities Include :
- Assessing students' communication abilities and creating tailored, evidence-based therapy programs.
- Tracking student progress and providing updates that align with their personal goals and developmental needs.
- Utilizing age-appropriate therapeutic techniques to improve speech, language, and cognitive skills.
- Writing comprehensive progress reports and adjusting therapy services as needed.
- Maintaining accurate case records and adhering to agency policies.
- Fostering effective communication with families for consistent scheduling and support.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for each student.
- Participating in ongoing evaluations and leading staff training to enhance clinical service quality.
- Providing guidance and support during home and community visits as required.
Qualifications Required :
Master's degree or higher in Speech Pathology or a related field.Current or pending licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.Prior experience in educational settings is preferred.Knowledge of special education services, particularly for students with diverse needs.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficient with relevant technology and office software.At ChanceLight, we believe in providing opportunities that go beyond a typical job.
