Role Description
Axolotl Arms is hiring a full-timeAssistant Operations Managerto support day-to-day store operations, supervise staff, assist with firearm sales processes, and oversee online order fulfillment. This role requires strong leadership, reliability, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail and e-commerce environment. Weekend availability is required. This position includes opportunities for advancement as the business continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in daily operational oversight of the retail storefront and warehouse area
- Provide high-quality in-store customer service and assist with escalated customer needs
- Supervise retail staff, ensure proper register coverage, and maintain smooth sales floor operations
- Oversee firearm sales processes, including Form 4473 review and background checks (training provided)
- Manage and coordinate online order fulfillment, shipping workflows, and inventory restocking
- Ensure accurate cash / card handling, drawer reconciliation, and POS performance
- Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and product organization
- Assist with onboarding, training, and performance guidance for new employees
- Monitor inventory accuracy, stock levels, and back-of-house organization
- Help enforce all ATF, safety, compliance, and company policies at all times
- Support operational planning, scheduling, and daily task management
Experience
