Job Description & Requirements Specialty : PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 08 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : RN - PCU Stepdown Job Details : Work 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 30 PM to 6 : 30 AM Every other weekend requirement Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe Patient ratios of 1 : 4-5 for both day and night shifts 40-bed unit with average daily census of 24 patients Care for adult patients with cardiac med / surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, respiratory conditions, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, and renal failure Must be competent in arterial lines and required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin Responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry strips May float to Med / Surg or ICU to take PCU acuity patients Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Navy blue scrub color required One day of unit-specific orientation provided Must pass open book exam on Wednesdays during orientation with 90% score to continue Work with overhead lifts, portable lifts, vein finders, and bladder scanners Chart using EPIC system Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with any CommonSpirit facility Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination Valid driver's license required at submittal Focus on patient experience scores, responsiveness, hospital environment, and medication communication Serve diverse cultural populations including Hispanic and Somalian communities Facility : This healthcare organization operates as part of a comprehensive medical system providing acute care services.
