Experience Required :

Minimum 2 years L&D nursing experience

Must have high-risk OB experience and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Required Certifications :

ACLS

BLS (AHA)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

RN-C preferred

Position Overview :

Seeking an experienced Travel Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night-shift assignment in White Plains, NY. This role covers a 14-bed unit (6 labor beds, 2 OR beds, 5 triage / inpatient beds). Nurses are expected to perform full assessments, manage high-risk OB patients, assist with C-sections on the unit, and scrub for procedures as needed.

Nurses will float to OB or nursery as required but will not take primary floor assignments during orientation. The unit is fast-paced and high acuity , requiring strong critical thinking, high-risk OB skills, and excellent customer service.

Unit & Workflow Notes :

Charge nurse tries to minimize patient load for travelers

Nurse aides and scrub techs assist with workflow

IV team, RT, and pharmacy coverage available 24 / 7

EMR : Epic , also some Meditech / GE charting

Floor-specific orientation : 2–3 shifts

Common Diagnoses / Patient Types :

High-risk OB patients

Low-risk antepartum patients (OB side)

Mag sulfate patients managed on L&D

C-sections performed on the unit

Shifts & Scheduling :

Night shifts

Weekend Requirement : Every 3rd weekend (Friday / Saturday) for night shifts

Travelers do not work holidays
